TV Review – From the press screenings, the new American Idol looks better than it has in years. Judges Harry Connick Jr., Jennifer Lopez and Keith Urban add a new different mix. They are more spontaneous and fun!! The show has a different set, format’s been tweeked, and the talent looks better. American Idol debuts Wednesday, January 15.
Head’s up – I’ll be covering the Golden Globes on Sunday. The Oscar nominations will be announced next week. Prediction – 2 Oscar winners will be Documentary Black Fish for the Sea World expose, and special effects will go to Gravity.
Sports Shorts – The Days Inn motel in Bergin, New Jersey, is a hideous property but only a mile from the Maedowlands where Super Bowl is being played. They usually charges $125 a night but the week of Super Bowl in February, will be charging $1300 bucks.
Moving News – Rihanna has rented a $40,000 a month NYC apartment. Paul McCartney has offered 13 million bucks for a 3BR/3BR Condo at 1041 5th Ave, also in New York City. Huge block party in Chris Brown’s neighborhood, they’re celebrating Chris putting his house up for sale and moving. Chris was the neighbor from hell!
