Three, Three Star Movies Out Today

I have 3 movie reviews for you today, all opening today, First a documentary, Australia’s Lost Gold. True story about Harold Lasseter who was found dead at 81, right after telling the world he had discovered a reef of gold, worth billions of dollars. Dialog by his elderly son, picking up where his dad left off! Fabulous (3 ½ Stars). Next, X-Men Apocalypse starring, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and J-Law, good movie but a little over the top, however the effects are fabulous and worth the price of admission. (PG13) – (2Hours 16 Minutes) – (3 Stars). And the sequel, Alice through The Looking Glass is another Disney generated classic, with great special effects, great characters but a weak script and plot line. Still yet, it’s Disney, take the kids – it’s Alice. (PG) – (1 Hour) – (3 Stars).

TV News: Should be interesting to see what happens in January when CBS-TV brings back Star Trek, it’ll be a weekly hour long show to start. … Want to congratulate Jimmy Fallen, a fellow KROQ alumni who got a 3 year extension of his late night show on ABC-TV. Some KROQ guys made it big.

Date in History, May 27. 1995, Christopher Reeves was thrown off a horse and was paralyze from the neck down. A lot of people don’t know, he was there for a photograph for Equestrian safety photos, so sad. 1975, Alaska legalizes marijuana use in a private home. 1937, the Golden Gate Bridges opens, I’ll be there in couple weeks.
