The #MeToo folks have long memories, and rightly so. Their latest target, Kobe Bryant, who you might remember was arrested and charged with sexual assault of a room service girl. I covered that trial in Eagle, Colorado. But after he made a financial payment to the girl, charges were dropped. The National Animation Festival reseeded their invitation to Kobe to be a judge after #MeToo complained. Prediction, there’s going to be more #MeToo backlash coming.
TV News: Sunday Night Ratings, Simpsons 1.3, Bob’s Burgers 1.3, DWTS Jr. 0.8, Shark Tank 0.8, Family Guy 0.6 and Alec Baldwin Talk Show with Kim Kardashian, 0.4. … While NFL ratings were up, every Sunday night games are lower than the week before. … Just what we don’t need, don’t get me wrong I love golf, it’s GOLFTV by Discovery TV. Golf Channel is more than enough. Prediction, might work in South Korea but not here or Canada.
Movie News: Angelina Jolie is becoming more of an outsider. She only has four projects scripted or optioned, and all four have a weird twist. Cleopatra is on hold, producers fear the public won’t see it. Angelina is producing the Jim Thorpe biopic, why Jim Thorpe? She is also producing the duo biopic of Churchill and Roosevelt. Finally, she’ll star and direct the biopic Shoot Like A Girl where she plays Mary Jennings Hegar, first female Air Force helicopter fighter pilot in Afghanistan, which is very odd since Angelina has always openly protested against the American military.
