Odds and Ends: Cher’s Broadway show is getting good reviews, better music than her real story of rise to fame. Guess that means me running down the street and saving her dog Quetzal’s life, and her crying and saying she’ll never forget me, didn’t make the show. … Head’s up, Golden Globe nominations today, Grammy nominations on tomorrow. … Stormy Daniels and attorney Michael Avenatti are now suing each other for a million dollars, Avenatti is also about to be disbarred, Stormy’s personal appearances have all dried up. And with all that, he’s running for president and Stormy is pitching her biopic. These two clowns need to just go away. … A lot being made of Paul McCartney being a regular at the gay bar, Club Cumming in NYC. Really, who cares, years ago Mick Jagger used to brag about being a switch hitter.
Early Movie Reviews: A lot of great movies start opening 10 days before Christmas. One is, Mary Queen of Scots with Award winning performances by Saoirse Ronan who plays Mary and Margot Robbie who plays Elizabeth the First. These two women play hardball, power hungry, fearless and ruthless ladies. Great script, acting and history, this is a must-see film. The 16th Century never looked so good. (Rated R) – (100 Minutes) – (3 Stars). … A Great documentary opening is Amazing Grace with the late, great Aretha Franklin. Back in 1972, Aretha Franklin did a 2-day concert and some preaching at the 1st Baptist church in Detroit. The best 90 minutes are here in Amazing Grace. (4 Stars).
Another star that is a Holiday giver, Dolly Parton gives away a lot of Scholarship money during the Holiday season. To be honest, Dolly gives away a lot all year long.
