TV News – Another NEW show – a spin from Pawn Stars. It’s a game show called Pawnography. I think contestants try to guess what a pawn item is worth. American Idol drew an all time low of 6 million viewers last Thursday. Compared to Big Bang Theory which is on the same night had 15 million viewers. FYI, Big Bang is in it’s 10th season, and has used the word coitus 53 times. Spike TV has greenlighted 6 half hour series on the life of King Tut – no cast yet.
Movie review – Neighbors opens tomorrow and it’s a RAW, over the top, often vulgar, but hilarious movie. Seth Rogan and his bride and new baby daughter move into their new home only to learn that their next door neighbor is a frat house ran by out of control Zac Efron, and it’s WAR! Creative writing and fabulous sight gags. A little rude for me but still funny – RATED R – 96 MINS – 2 ½ STARS.
Odds and ends – Almost every morning, Jerry Seinfeld races Leonardo DiCaprio on bicycles to their favorite lower west side, soho breakfast place. Elvis Presley’s Honeymoon Palm Springs home is for sale for 9.5 million. It has 2 stories, stone inner walls, sitting on a cliff by Bob Hope’s mansion. Child molesting accusations against X-Men director, Brian Singer, and writing buddy, Gary Goddard, is going to get ugly and criminal. Coming up on the 20 year anniversary of OJ killing, Ron and Nichole. Jailers say Simpson is the meanest, most hateful human being they have ever had in jail. Very weird stat – donkeys kill more humans than planes and sharks combined.
