Old Shop Talk: Big story here in LA, other than the primary election today, and I’ll be voting at 10A.M., is that 16 patients at the Huntington Hospital in Pasadena who are hospitalized with a new, deadly infection, and I was reminded of an intern who worked in the ER at that hospital and wondered into KROQ at 3AM on a Monday morning to share funny stories of the ER. I met him when I came in at 6A.M. to do my show. I told him fans were not allowed in the station, but he was a nice guy and we became friends. And, weeks later I introduced him to Susan S the head KROQ Bikini Girl at a promotion, they would marry and have twins, then he left Huntington Hospital and tried his hand in radio and TV. And that’s my story and my history with Dr. Drew.
All week long, I’ll be reviewing some of the new Summer TV Shows. Today, Braindead, a weird, very dark satire that involves the U.S. Government which has basically closed, oh yeah, and bugs are eating politicians brains (3 Stars).
