Josh Brolin plays Mannix. One of Mannix’s assignments is to protect a wild matinee idol played by George Clooney. In real life police believe Mannix killed 1950 TV Superman George Reeves, because Reeves was not only having an affair with Mannix wife but also mistreated her. Love the Coen Brothers.
