Oscars Nominations are out and very few surprises. My favorite movie of the year, The Shape of Water, received the most nominations with 13, only 3 other films have received more nominations, with 14, All About Eve (1950) Titanic (1997) and La La Land in 2016. The most nominated film after Water this year was Dunkirk with 8. No Surprise, Water, Lady Bird, Darkest Hour, Dunkirk and my second favorite film, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, are all nominated for Best Picture. I am suprised that I, Tonya did not get nominated for best picture despite Margot Robbie is nominated for Best Actress, playing Tonya, and Allison Janney is nominated for Best Supporting Actress who played Tonya’s mom. Always be fun, Awards are March 4, on ABC-TV and I’ll be there for you.
