Love Nugget: Kevin Costner and his wife Christine are divorced. A good guesstimate, Costner must pay both of their attorney fees. They will split their property, Kevin will pay life and health insurance policies for her and the kids and Kevin will pay a little under $100,000 a month child support. She also gets four automobiles. For Kevin, this is the screwing he gets for the screwing he got.
Show Biz Business: People forget that Katy Perry had a bunch of hit singles and five huge LP’s. Well she has sold her entire library for $200 million. Good for Katy Perry.
Odds and Ends: If you didn’t see it, I want to make sure everybody hears about it. Last week Jennifer Garner saw a barefoot homeless man in a wheelchair, she stopped and gave him food and drink, put socks on his feet even tried to give him her shoes! When they didn’t fit a paparazzi watching the whole thing gave the man his shoes. Jenifer Garner and Marc Wahlberg are the two most generous celebrities in Hollywood. Garner regularly hosts huge Food Drives for the homeless in Boston and Los Angeles. In a town of over paid, over pampered and over sexed celebs, what a breath of fresh air.
No, I’m not going to tell you how old I turned today, but want to tell you about my all time favorite venue that also has a birthday this month, but it turns 100 years old. The Los Angeles Coliseum. I have seen incredible things at the Coliseum. My first assignment as a Cub reporter was covering a week long Billy Graham Crusade there. As a kid I saw the Dodgers, my first World series there. The Chargers, Rams, Raiders, Super Bowls, USC, UCLA football, National College Championships, MLS, the 1984 Olympics, 4th of July’s, The Stones, The Dead, U2, The Boss. Even Evel Knievel. And I was actually in the Battle Of The Beatle bands at the Coliseum! It’s the best. Hey, I hope you didn’t spend to much money on me for my birthday!
