Report for Wednesday, Sept 1st

First things first, ever since Alex Trebek died, Jeopardy ex-producer Michael Richards has been running rough shot on everybody, even appointing himself as the permanent host, however that decision was vetoed by the syndicator. I’ve been predicting Richards would be fired. This is the way Alex would have put this latest development, Category – Termination, response, He’s the ego maniac jerk, fired just yesterday. Question, who is Michael Richards. See ya.

Movie News: I can’t believe it, who pitched this stupid idea for a motion picture? Are you ready for Dennis Rodman’s out of control movie called 48 Hours in Vegas. It’s about his weekend before the 1998 NBA Chicago Bulls Finals. It will also look at Rodman’s relationship with North Korean tyrant Kim Jong Un. I mean, do we really need this movie? It’s ridiculous, as Howard Cosell would say, “Who goofed I’ve got to know!” MGM Studios. … MGM was relying heavily on Respect, the Aretha Franklin story with Jennifer Hudson and Sean Penn’s Flag Day to be their big money winners this summer. While I loved Respect, it flopped. And no surprise Flag Day got no respect at the box office, it also flopped. Respect cost the studio $100 million to make, brought in a measly $23 million. Flag Day cost $85 million to make but has brought in only $665,000 world wide. Pitiful.

Odds and Ends: Another are you kidding me, just green lighted a Karate Kid musical coming to Broadway. … Hey, I’m just the messenger, but apparently woman soccer player Megan Rapinoe bullied her teammates into taking a knee at the Olympics, she was disliked by the entire team and Subway sales are down 6% since she became their spokesman. Just the facts. … Head’s up, if you are traveling, please note, voted the best Airline in America, Jet Blue.

Billionaire Trivia: You know you have way too much money if you build a 10,000 year, 42 million dollar clock that’s 500 feet tall, built into a mountain that ticks only once a year and chimes only once a millennium. But billionaire Jeff Bezos built it exactly that! Hey Jeff, how about feeding the poor?! Just saying.
