Report for Wednesday, Sept 18th

Today’s report originates from Hilton Head, South Carolina. It is my Birthday week, a lot of golf, lot of seafood, huge family reunion end of the week. By the way,  because of that I am taking a very rare couple days off. No report tomorrow or Friday! And I’ve been getting a lot of Happy Birthday emails, many thanks!

Movie and Sports Today: And I want everybody to know that opening nationwide on Friday, Super/Man: The Christopher Reeves Story. This documentary about one of the nicest men in the history of Hollywood who suffered an injury from falling off a horse that left him a Quadriplegic, and died a horrible death. This movie will make you cry. Saddest movie I have ever seen, but a must see (4 Stars). … Now two horrible movies, Opening November 15th, Heretic, starring the untalented Hugh Grant! Described as two young women of religion are drawn into a game of cat and mouse in a house of a strange man. It’s called a horror film that sounds horrible. … But wait, I have a movie that is even worse, The Return. This is set in the dark ages, with Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche. This says a lot, Ralph plays the character named Odysseus. The last time Fiennes and Binoche starred together in one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen that went on and on, The English Patient. My wife Cheryl and daughters loved it, I’d rather have root canal than watch it again.

Sports Shorts: Baseball is really getting exciting as the season is winding down, and the team with the most injuries, 19 over the season is the Los Angeles Dodgers. The latest is pitcher Tyler Glasnow who has a hurt elbow but will still get his $136 million! … And NBA superstar Steph Curry is hilarious in Peacock’s “Mr. Throwback” where he is reunited with a sixth grade buddy. Check it out (4 Stars).
