Report for Wednesday, Oct 6th

Movie News: Hustle is called a comedy, drama, sports film starring Robert De Niro, Adam Sandler, Ben Foster and Queen Latifah. The plot is about a washed up basketball scout who finds a young phenomena player in Spain and works to get him back to the United States and in the NBA. It is produced by Lebron James. Interesting nugget, the movie was originally set to find the player in China, but since the studio is Netflix and Netflix does not do business with China, it was moved to Spain where they’re shooting now.

TV News: Dog the Bounty Hunter has been getting himself a lot of publicity lately and while he may not catch Brian Laundry, he’s landed a new TV show. ABC, FOX and CBS want him.

Nobody is saying it publicly, however those who work on the set of The Voice say that new judge, Ariana Grande, is one of the most difficult celebrities they’ve ever seen.

Odds and Ends: While Britney Spears says she will retire when her conservatorship is finalized, a handful of promoters are begging her to reconsider! They predict a Britney Spears national tour would be huge. They believe Stadium sell-outs, not arenas. … Snoop Dogg is furious. Snoop had been trying to get approval to release a ten joint pack of pre-rolled spleefs, but has been blocked at every turn. But Justin Bieber just got the green light to sell a seven pac of pre-rolled joints in California and Nevada. Far out man!

Everyday this week I’m going to tell you what some celebrity’s did before becoming famous, new stuff, not Brad as a Chicken or Whoopi working at a Mortuary. Lucy Lawless was born in New Zealand but for a short time before moving to the U.S. she worked in a gold mine in Australia. John Malkovich drove a school bus for 2 years. As a teen, James Brown shined shoes in front of WRDW radio station in Augusta, GA, and when he made it big, bought the station and fired the people that were mean to him.
