Report for Wednesday, Oct 26th

Shocking and Sad: Brittney Griner’s plea for a suspended sentence or at least a reduced sentence of her 9 year sentence for bringing prescribed THC oil into Russia was flatly rejected by a judge. Just as big a shock, the Biden administration did nothing to help her.

Celebrity News: Some celebrities don’t know how to manage their finances, examples, Stephen Baldwin, 50 Cent, Mike Tyson, Charlie Sheen, MC Hammer, Gary Busey and Nick Cage are all in serious debt. They all spend more money than they make. And other celebrities have owed the IRS money and faced jail time include John Travolta, Pamela Anderson, Chris Tucker, Martha Stewart, Ozzy Osbourne and again, Nick Cage.

Sports Shorts: Wall Street is praying Philadelphia doesn’t win the World Series over Houston! Philadelphia has won three World Series, the first was back in 1929 same year of the great depression. The second win came in 1980 which was the year of the big financial downturn. And their third win was 2008, and that was followed by the Great Recession. … And after 32 years, Jim Nantz will call his final Final 4 NCAA basketball Championships! CBS says it’s time for a change and he will be replaced by Ian Eagle. Nantz will continue to do NFL football with Tony Romo and, the tradition like no other, The Masters.

Court Docket: Unbelievable, Harvey Winesleeze latest sexual assault trial now taking place in Los Angeles and his lawyer’s opening statement said these woman just wanted to further their careers and willingly offered him sex. But prosecutors said sleeze forced himself on them in a very, very graphic way, too graphic me to say on radio! Disgusting!

Odds and Ends: Most bizarre headline of the week from the New York post that screamed, “California Weed Company Sued Over Not Getting Pot Smokers High Enough.” Yep! Apparently the pot wasn’t strong enough. Another Post headline, above the story about exploding New York violence, “Ticking Crime Bomb.” … Jerry Seinfeld is hitting the road with a new stand-up act, playing medium size rooms like the Beacon Theater in New York. Fifty shows from now till July. Tickets range from $200-2000.
