TV Review: Tonight on ABC is the debut of For Life. True story of a wrongly convicted drug dealer who spends years in prison becoming a lawyer and gets his case overturned. Upon his release he works to get other falsely accused prisoners out of prison. This show is produced by 50 Cent. Well written and Nicholas Pennick stars. Fabulous (3 Stars).
Agent tells me Paris Jackson can sing, but she wants to act and she can’t act a lick. … As predicted here, the hideous Fatman starring Mel Gibson took the pipe at the box office. … However, FREAKY, which I loved was number 1 at the box office last weekend.
Music Notes: Barry Gibbs new album is fabulous with duets with Miranda Lambert, Olivia Newton John, Sheryl Crow, Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood. Really good. … And Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift have become such good friends they are planning an album together next year.
Odds and Ends: The biggest on going feud in Hollywood is between Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks. They have hated each other for decades and make no secret about it. The feud started when Tyra was promised to be the first black model on the cover of the French Vogue and British Vogue magazines but Naomi undercut the deal and she became the first. When Naomi wrote a novel called, Swan, she was quick to point out Tyra wasn’t smart enough to write a book. But the clincher, after years of feuding, Naomi appeared on Tyra’s TV talk show to officially end the feud but instead, the very next day, Naomi called the Tyra’s show amateurish. And the hits just keep on coming.
The following celebrities enlisted in the armed forces and to this day, fly the American Flag at their homes. Morgan Freeman, Air Force, Ice-T, Army, M.C. Hammer, Navy, Pat Sajack, Army, and Drew Carey was a Marine. And Jimi Hendrix was in the 101st airborne, Don Knotts and Hugh Hefner were in the Army and were all given military funerals. Just thought you should know.
