Love Nuggets: I hear the only thing delaying a Bennifer wedding are getting all the I’s dotted and all the T’s crossed on Jennifer Lopez’s $435 million prenup. Ben has no problem with it, in fact insisted J-Lo do it for her Children’s safety. Also, Jennifer is planning to do a short Broadway performance that will also be a TV special. … And an odd love nugget, there are now several Dating Apps that hooks people up, but with the agreement that no sex involved, just for dating friendship only. Right.
The Emmy Nominations announced yesterday, I’m betting on the following to win. Best Comedy – Ted Lasso, Best Comedy Actor – Jason Sudeikis for Ted Lasso, Best Actress in a Comedy series – Jean Smart for Hacks, Best Drama Series – The Crown, Best Drama Actor – Sterling K. Brown in This is Us, Best Drama Actress – Elisabeth Moss for The Handmaid’s Tale, and Best Limited Series – Mare of Easttown.
Music Notes: One of my all time favorite guitarist is 73 year old Carlos Santana. And Carlos plays guitar with Diane Warren and G-Eazy sing a great rap song called, She’s Fire. … That hotter than hot K-Pop music made popular by the Korean boy band BTS has taken a dump. Sales of their music and bands like them are in the toilet. That crap is over. … And that free concert August 21st at Central Park is promising some big surprise artists, but already signed up are Jennifer Hudson, Taylor Swift, The Beach Boys, Barry Manilow, Bruce Springsteen and Paul Simon. The biggest music event of the summer and I’ll be there.
Odds and Ends: In case you missed it, did you hear about New York’s Serendipity Restaurant celebrating French Fry Day by creating the most expensive french fries ever? Their Chipperbec potatoes were grown in the Mountains in upstate New York. Blanched in Dom Perignon Champagne, aged in small oak barrels. Cooked in a spatial goose fat from free range geese and sprinkled with imported Italian cheese. A side of fries, $200. I still prefer McDonald’s. … Finally, Paris Jackson believes her dad is among us, re-incarnated maybe even as a horse.
