And that reminds me, having been in Palm Springs for 20 years and a lot of Caochellas, I was surprised that the headliners were announced for this years Coachella and they are Bad Bunny, Black Pink and Frank Ocean. The Coachella I remember, the headliners included, Paul McCartney, Madonna, Prince, Depeche Mode, Lady Gaga, Jay Z, The Cure, Drake, Eminem, Harry Styles etc. Is it me or has Coachella lost it’s celebrity punch?
A slight love nugget turns into a huge career change. Johnny Depp’s hot attorney, Camille Vasquez who briefly dated Depp after his victory over Amanda Heard. While that romance didn’t last, Camille got enough TV time that she has been hired by NBC News as a regular correspondent. I hear she will start her reporter career by covering the Idaho college students murders, the investigation as well as all court proceedings.
Odds and Ends: Another example of over paid, over pampered, self important ego maniac celebrities. Prince Harry now travels everywhere even to the grocery with four armed bodyguards. Who is out to kill Harry? Is that really necessary?
Movie News: The greatest movie directors of all times have to be The Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino, Steven Spielberg, Martin Scorsese and Francis Ford Coppola. However Francis hasn’t had a big hit since the Godfather’s and he shocked a lot of people when he sold his winery to personally fund what he called his biggest movie, Megalopolis. A drama sci/fi about rebuilding N.Y.C. after a devastating disaster. But since filming of the $160 million movie four months ago, it has become a total disaster! The art director quit, the production designers have all quit, the visual effects team quit. Filming has stopped. It is a total disaster. F.Y.I. Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Shia LaBeouf, John Voight, Dustin Hoffman and others star.
As for my favorite concerts, Chicago, Styx, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones but #1 is Queen at the Forum.
