Report for Wednesday, Feb 7th

Before Super Bowl stuff, a note on the passing of Toby Keith. Toby was bigger than country music. He was one of the nicest, kindest human beings you’d ever meet, and a great American. Toby was 62, may he rest in peace.

Yesterday was a day off for the San Francisco 49ers and 49er quarterback, Brock Purdy quietly snuck out of their hotel to attend a church, which I imagine was pretty hard to find in Sin City, Las Vegas! Really no surprise, Brock is very religious and says his religious beliefs are very important to him. With baseball starting next month, reminds me of the greatest pitcher of all time, L A Dodger Sandy Koufax, who is Jewish and never pitched on Saturday’s, the Jewish sabbath. … And then there is this. Americans will gamble between $20-25 billion on the game. That amount is also the budgets of Montana, Nebraska, and South Dakota combined!

Today and tomorrow the celebrities start arriving and I’ll have more on that tomorrow. And I’ll have all the scoop, the who and who they are pulling for. I hear one of the biggest 49er fans, a woman who attended a lot of 49er games over the years wanted to attend the game, but because of security, she’ll probably be denied! Her name, tell you tomorrow, see ya!
