Report for Wednesday, Feb 15th

Some follow-ups, the Oscars luncheon was held Monday at the Beverly Hills Hotel and Tom Cruise and Steven Spielberg were the center of attention among the 180 attendees. Tom sat with Jamie Lee Curtis, who once gave me a lap dance but that’s an old story. Tom also sat with Michelle Yeoh from Everything Everywhere All at Once. Tom and Elvis star Austin Butler were also in a heavy conversation, perhaps about a movie together. However, not impressed with the luncheon menu. Appetizers were a berry basket and vegan bread, first course included roasted beets and celery with humus. The main course, all vegetarian, wild mushrooms, black beans and squash with a red curry sauce. And dessert, Tangerines with dark chocolate drizzle. Yuck!

Last Valentines Day note, Brad Pitt still sends flowers to Jennifer Aniston every year as well as flowers for his daughters but no flowers for Angelina Jolie. No surprise there. … And Martha Stewart (worth $800 million) sends bottles of wine on Valentines Day to about 50 men she’s known over the years, just friends.

Sorry to hear of the passing of Conrad Dobler, a nice guy but called the dirtiest player in NFL history. The dirtiest hockey player was Chris Pronger and in my opining, the two dirtiest baseball players, and knew them both, pitchers Don Drysdale who didn’t hesitate to hit a batter if he didn’t like their attitude and the great Nolan Ryan who would hit you with a pitch or his fist. Not bad guys, just really competitive.

On a happier note, kids news. Daniel Moder and Julia Roberts daughter, 16 year old Hazel is going to follow her Mom into an acting career and has started acting lessons. Hazel’s face is so sweet, almost angelic. If she can act, I think she will be a big star.

Being from Hawaii, I love whales! Question, where the hell is PETA and ocean environmentalist? There have been 26 whales washed ashore in the last year on the east coast. Marine biologists speculate the drilling of wind farms at sea has affected the whales sonar causing them to run aground. Hollywood celebrities are getting involved.
