For the first time, Jennifer Aniston is speaking out on Matthew Perry’s death. Yesterday Jennifer said she talked to Mathew the day before he died and he was in great spirits. She also said they texted the day he died, and he said he felt good and was very happy. I watched a Friends yesterday and it is still hard to believe he’s gone.
Odds and Ends: A lot of celebrities like to sneak out without being noticed and live a normal life. And no celebrity does it better than Leonardo DiCaprio. Leonardo knows how to disguise and spends a lot of time out and about, unnoticed. … I want to extend a very different Happy Birthday to one of the best, if not the best sports venue in the United Sates, The Los Angeles Coliseum. When I was child visiting my grandparents in Malibu, from Hawaii, my grandmother got tickets to the Dodgers/Chicago White Sox World Series and it was at the L.A. Coliseum. That was my first memory of the grand old stadium that turns 100 years old today. When I was 17 working at KFWB radio I got my first news assignment, it was covering a week long Billy Graham Crusade and it was at the Coliseum. Since then I’ve covered many college football games, Rolling Stones, U2, Grateful Dead, Bruce Springsteen, Guns and Roses, The Who concerts. I’ve covered Super Bowls, Championship fights, all 14 days of the 1984 Olympics and much more! When I was 18, I even sang at the coliseum in the Battle of The Beatle Bands. However, while the coliseum has 102,000 seats, there were only 1100 people there. That event is still considered the biggest flop in the coliseum’s history. Happy 100th Birthday to the L.A. Coliseum, and by the way, the coliseum will host the 2028 Olympics and hopefully I’ll be there.
