Report for Tuesday, Sept 29th

Firsts things first, no matter what way you’re political leaning just remember the presidential debate is tonight. No doubt there’s plenty wrong with this country but it’s still the greatest country in the world and it deserves our attention.

TV News: Put these two on your calendar, on the Discovery Channel marking 25 years, O.J. and Nicole: An American Tragedy. And some new news about O.J.’s domestic violence history, but mostly an update on all the players, how they are and where they are now. … And coming next week on Netflix, The Trial of the Chicago 7. How ironic, America is getting ready for an election and there’s chaos and in the streets, and over 50 years ago, the same thing! I was in ORD back then and this is a great story worth watching (4 Stars). … Prince Harry and Meghan keep saying they do not want to be part of Hollywood but they’ve already sold a documentary and now have signed to do their own unscripted reality show. Oh YEAH, they are also negotiating a Christmas Special.

Sports Shorts: Ratings for Sunday night NFL is slipping, Thursday night NFL was way down, MLB is down, but NHL ratings are up … The odd MLB Play-off starts tomorrow and all the American league championship games will be held in California, and all the national league championship games will be held in Texas. No crowds at any games. … More odd, NBA Championships between the Lakers and Heat will be played in Orlando. … N.Y. Post headline, with the N.Y. Giants and N.Y. Jets having a combined 0-6 record. N.Y. Post had an empty picture of their stadium with headline screaming, “At Least There’s Nobody There To Boo.”

Odds and Ends: Katy Perry has found a babysitter to watch her daughter Daisy when she runs to the store, it’s her Monticello next door neighbor, Oprah Winfrey. … Style Magazine has named the top 5 stars in bikini’s, #5 Carrie Underwood, #4 Beyonce, #3 Rihanna, #2 Kylie Jenner and #1 Jennifer Lopez. … And if you are looking for a vacation, a little birdie tells me Disneyland will be allowed to open between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
