I have a lot of television news, all good and a really great documentary. Starting off with The Nine Lives of Ozzy Osbourne. A completely sober Ozzy with pulled back gray hair and unrecognizable tales of his childhood with tons of footage from his youth, teen years and his sober re-birth. The drugs, the booze, the women, mental health, the Parkinson’s, being a dad and a grand-dad. Nothing held back, Ozzy Osbourne as you’ve never seen before. Coming next month on demand, this is (4 Stars).
More Recommend Viewing: I told you months ago how great The Morning Show with Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carell was. Well, with the Emmy’s coming in 3 weeks, If you haven’t seen it, please do. Best series of the year. … Coming December 17th to Netflix, the Stephen King science fiction thriller that is a little too close to home, The Stand. Written in 1978 and set in 1990, it’s the story of a deadly virus that kills 90% of the country leaving only 2 factions that are set on killing each other and their followers who are left. One lead by a 103 year old witch woman living in Boulder, Colorado and played by Whoopi Goldberg and a crazy messiah from Vegas played by James Marsden. A 10 part series that also stars Amber Heard and Greg Kinnear. … Here’s a 4 season series from England that is on Netflix that I strongly recommend, William & Mary, starring the star of Doc Martin, Martin Clunes but 100% different. A romantic comedy with a twist and a lot of emotions. William & Mary is on Netflix. … And what could be the biggest miniseries ever, Hollywood the inside story, set in 1946 includes the story of predator agent Henry Willson played by Jim Parsons. More to come.
Odds and Ends: Escape from New York, real estate agents in the tri-state are getting thousands of calls a days from NYC residents who want out. Connecticut and Jersey are their two top destinations, with Georgia and Florida next. That reminds me, yesterday’s N.Y. post headline screamed, “Land of the Flee.”
