How about that commercial that ran following DWTS last night with the family of Don Lewis begging for America’s help, asking for any information on the disappearance of Lewis. The spot ran just prior to Tiger King, character, Carol Baskin’s pitiful dance performance. Carol is Don Lewis ex-wife. The Lewis family is convinced Carol murdered Mr. Lewis and fed him to Tigers. Now that’s real reality television.
TV News: Netflix has lost $9 billion and taken a dump in the stock market because of their film, Cuties, featuring scantly clad 10 year old girls bumping and grinding. While the film is anti-child pornography, the content is sick and cancellations are coming in by the thousands. I’d cancel Netflix if I didn’t have to use it for business. Unfortunately, Netflix has some great programming including the upcoming docu-drama, The Trial of the Chicago 7. The story of Jerry Rubin, Abbie Hoffman and their 5 other cohorts who organized the massive anti-Vietnam protests at the Democrat National Convention, in ORD in 1968 and I was one of the 340 protesters who were herded into McCormick Place and held till morning. It will be in my book.
Tomorrow is the American Country Music Awards, one of the few Awards shows I like. Taylor Swift will be singing her hit single called, betty, which is about lesbianism. Some say it is Taylor admitting she is bi-sexual. Don’t know about that, but it’s a great song. … Must see TV is Todd Douglas’s documentary, Apollo 11. This looks at never before seen and heard footage of Apollo 11 from the take off, the to the trip to the moon, the landing, things that happened on the moon, and their return to earth. The second man to walk on the moon, Buzz Aldrin narrates. Produced by CNN and on demand (4 Stars).
