Report for Tuesday, Sept. 11th

This week’s Pop Quiz theme, one more time, how many times a celebrity has been arrested. How many times has O.J. Simpson been arrested? Is it 3, 4, 5 or 6 times?

I’m going to mention more stars today than I’ve ever mentioned on any report I’ve ever done, a total of 25! Starting off with George Clooney’s Halloween Party in Vegas that will cost him 5 million dollars to put on this shindig. Guests will compete for the best costume, a $500,000 prize, and guests include Brad Pitt, Robert De Niro, Sylvester Stallone, Mark Wahlberg, Courtney Love, Sting, Margot Robbie, and Paul Giamatti. And former President Obama may be there, Obama is one of Clooney’s closest friends.

I don’t give enough credit to celebrities who go way out of their way to do good. So this morning, tip of the hat to Winona Ryder, Stevie Wonder, Jennifer Lopez, Reese Witherspoon, Bradley Cooper, Matthew McConaughey, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Matt Damon who all participated in a Stand Up For Cancer concert over the weekend and gave millions of their own dollars.

Early Movie Review: You might remember, Unbroken, directed by Angelina Jolie, the true story about the WW2 Hero Louis Zamperini, prisoner of war, survived 47 days at sea. Well there is a sequel, Unbroken: Path to Redemption, the film picks up when he returns from the war, years of torture, to his religious awakening, his friendship with Billy Graham and even forgiving the Japanese POW guards. Loved it. (4 Stars) Opens Thursday.

Movie News: Two films in the making, but neither may get wide release, both are biopics. First the Framing John DeLorean and the Dusty Springfield story.

Saw a funny cartoon yesterday, said Bill Clinton paid Paula Jones $850,000, and Donald Trump paid Stormy Daniels $130,000, proving Donald Trump is a much better deal maker. Hey, it was funny enough for me.

Answer 6 times. Spousal battery, disorderly conduct, kidnapping, robbery and, oh yeah, double murder.
