Love Nugget: Although they are very private, let me tell you a little about Hollywood’s happiest couple. They are Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. They were married 9 years ago. They welcomed their their third daughter, named Betty in 2019, and her Godmother Taylor Swift wrote and recorded a song entitled, Betty, after the baby. They are very active in the Christian church they attend. They live 161 miles from N.Y.C. in a small up-state township called Pound Ridge, on an 11 acres with horses, pigs, cows, goats, and 6 dogs and their closest neighbor lives a mile away. They also have a Malibu beach house but rarely use it. Some scoop on Blake and Ryan.
Television News: NBC saying this fall is the first time in 50 years they haven’t had a comedy on the schedule is a bit misleading. Have they forgotten, Seinfeld, Friends, Frazier and Cheers? But they weren’t added on a fall schedule. To be honest, they haven’t any comedies that were funny since Seinfeld. Speaking of Friends, the re-union show will air May 27th and will have more cameo stars than any show I can recall. They include Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, David Beckham, Tom Selleck, Marlo Thomas, Cindy Crawford, Jason Bateman and Reese Witherspoon. The network is hoping they will help ratings. Probably will. … Chelsea Handler is pitching another talk show could replace Drew Barrymore’s, bad numbers. … On the other hand Chris Rock has turned down several television opportunities, instead saying he wants to hit the road and improve at some comedy clubs. I say yeah! … I’m shocked NBC gave Miley Cyrus $8 million for her own production deal plus a piece of the profits. She’ll develop two comedies and three musical specials and she’s been given a 5000 Sq. Foot office on the Universal lot. … And while it’s been on Paramount+ a few weeks, starting tomorrow you can see the documentary, Cher and the Loneliest Elephant on the Smithsonian Network. Yep, Cher goes to Pakistan to free an elephant who’s been chained up for 20 years (4 Stars).
