Scoopage: You may have heard Julia Louis-Dreyfus is bent out of shape at her former co-star Jerry Seinfeld because Jerry said comedy has been ruined by everybody being forced to be politically correct and general wokeness. Truth is Jerry and Julia didn’t get long that well during their nine years of Seinfeld. Jerry was much, much closer to Michael Richards. Jason Alexander wasn’t that close to anybody, often complaining he didn’t get enough lines, the way his character was portrayed and not enough close ups! I am not surprised Dreyfus is taking shots at Jerry. F.Y.I I’m on Jerry’s side.
This is so sad, Christina Applegate says she does not enjoy life anymore due to mental health and physical issues as she fights Multiple Sclerosis. I first met Christina in 1987 when she was just 16. Now 52, Christina uses a wheelchair and is in a lot pain.
TV News: Very excited about Paul Giamatti coming to the little screen in a series that originated from the 2005 big screen thriller, Quentin Tarantino’s film Hostel! It should be incredible, coming to Netflix. And Paul is going to be very busy shooting Hostel at the same time he’s shooting the third Downton Abby movie. For me, Paul is one of the best actors in Hollywood. However I did not get along with Paul’s dad, Bartlett Giamatti, who was the Commissioner of Baseball for only five months before dying of a heart attack, but Giamatti spent that time banning Pete Rose from baseball. Which brings me to this nugget.
I am reminded by a friend of one of baseball’s weirdest stories ever! 67 years ago Philadelphia Phillies star Richie Ashburn hit a foul ball that struck spectator Alice Roth. While she was being carried off on a stretcher, Ashburn hit her again with another foul ball! I don’t make this stuff up folks!
