Report for Tuesday, Jan 19th

TV News Ratings: Last week’s ratings, no surprise, biggest numbers are NFL Sunday 25.5 million, NFL Saturday 24 million. Combined cable news coverage of the D.C. riots was 16.4 million, 60 Minutes 15 million, Blue Bloods 9 million, Celebrity Wheel 8.2 million, and This Is Us 8.1 million. These are total viewers 18+ in age.

Now the shocking Tiger Woods Part 2 HBO documentary, the Tiger we didn’t know. From the solicitous affairs with a waitress in church parking lots, being with 10 women at a time, his obsession with being a Navy Seal that nearly ended his career. Then Rachel Uchitel who spent years with him, finally comes forward and tells her whole torrid, twisted story! Tiger the scum ball, the drugs, and more. And Rachel is just the beginning. Then came that Thanksgiving night. Almost as shocking, him turning his back on all his friends including his best friend Steve Williams. The drunk driving, more ugliness and the hits just keep coming. But despite 20 years of debauchery, lying, cheating and despicable behavior, Tiger is back! Same girlfriend for 4 years, back with Elin and his kids, no drinking and no Rx. Smiling, happy and giving most of his money to charity. This is must see TV.

CNN’s Jim Acosta and Fox’s John Roberts have spent the last 4 years covering Trump but now, both men have be given huge promotions, both named in studio Anchors! After 2 years covering the White House, they deserve it.

Odds and Ends: Yesterday I told you the Los Angeles Times was reporting 1 of every 3 Los Angeles County residents have the virus. Now being reported, California prisoners are getting the Covid shot before police, some health care workers and Convalescence homes. The petition to recall Gov. Newsom needs 1.5 million signatures, they have 1.2 already.

Most ridiculous headline I’ve seen in a long time from the London Mirror over the huge picture of Kylie Jenner. Are you ready for this one folks, the headline screamed, “Kylie Praised For Returning To Her Original Hair Color.” Say what?

Wish me luck for my skin cancer surgery today and I’ll talk to you tomorrow.
