Report for Tuesday, Feb 18th

Good Morning, as you know the 50 Year Saturday Night Live special was Sunday night and while some of it was brilliant, some was, ah, how should I say this, lame, stupid and boring! The highlight was Paul Simon and Sabrina Carpenter opening the show singing the song Homeward Bound. Paul Simon is 83 and still playing guitar and singing. Fabulous! That was followed by the best 7 minutes of the entire show, Steve Martin’s monologue. And Steve wrote the monologue and it was brilliant! Now there were some funny nuggets through out the 180 minutes, but to me, only 60 minutes of the show was really truly funny! The other 120 minutes was cumbersome, often boring, some stupid. Just not Funny! Most needless, pointless joke was about O.J. Simpson and Robert Blake. I’m sure the families of those family members O.J. and Blake murdered didn’t think it was funny! Nothing funny about these two murderers, why even bother bringing them up? And everything Tom Hanks did was boring, stupid, and political. I was expecting much more after all the weeks of publicity, oh well.

Scoopage:  At the Plaza hotel post party, Pete Davidson and Kim Kardashian were cozy for the first time since their break-up in 2022. They talked a lot, laughed but just friends! However, Pete Davidson and his ex-fiance, Ariana Grande who were engaged in 2018 have remained close friends, and now they spend a lot of time together. Stay tuned! … Learned something about Will Ferrell I didn’t know. The only way he could deliver his lines on SNL and in all the movies he’s ever made, Will insists nobody look at him when cameras roll. Will says only way he can deliver his lines. No exceptions!

TV News: Sonic The Hedgehog 3, the third installment of the franchise based on the video game will begin streaming on Paramount+. … And here’s a shocker, the first major league baseball spring training game is Thursday, the Los Angeles Dodgers play the Chicago Cubs in Glendale, Arizona. I’m ready.
