Report for Tuesday, Dec 12th

Scoopage: Kanye West is going to start his own TV News channel.

Movie News: Despite currently shooting, Academy Award winner J.K. Simmons has signed to star in the movie, Juror No.2. It also stars Nicholas Hoult, Toni Collette, Kiefer Sutherland and is directed by Clint Eastwood. This will be Clint’s final movie. … It appears there will be two pictures that will dominate the Golden Globes and Oscars and they are called, Barbenheimer, a combination of Barbie and Oppenheimer. … Another reminder, I loved Maestro with Bradley Cooper and Carey Mulligan, the inside story you’ve never heard about conductor Leonard Bernstein. It is playing in limited release, but will be streaming December 20th. … Not all the news is good. I am shocked that the Beyonce movie has been a huge Box Office disappointment! For that matter, All Box Office in general has been disappointing! The usual huge holiday box office could be a huge loser.

TV News: Do you have Netflix? Well they are in serious negotiations to carry a lot of live sports in 2024. When I find out more, I’ll let you know.

Odds and Ends: The one thing everybody does rave about California is the weather. However in 2023 California has had floods, blizzards and even a tornadoes. Oh yeah, 8 earthquakes over 2.8 on the Richter Scale. And don’t forget the stinky smog. Speaking of California, Oprah has decorated her $50 million estate just outside Santa Barbara and is planning a huge Holiday party, inviting neighbors Jeff Bridges, Julie Louis Dreyfuss, Al Gore and Harry and Meghan. I guess my invitation must have been lost in the mail! By the way Oprah has lost over 25 pounds and she looks great. … Is it true there is a documentary on the drawing board about the retirement community, The Villages? That a lot of the 79,000 senior citizens residents are involved in rampant STD’s, black market viagra, and wild swinger parties. Yeah baby.
