TV News: Never been a big fan of Dancing with the Stars and thought it strange ABC made a big deal promoting that Jamie Lynn Spears, Britney’s little sister will be a contestant. Really, is anybody going to write Dancing with the Stars on their must see TV list because of Jamie Spears? On the other hand, if you want real must see tv, check out Heart Of Invictus, on Netflix now. Every two years, wounded, injured and sick veterans from around the world are invited to compete in sporting events. The aim is to assist their recovery and rehabilitation while rebuilding their spirits! The first Invictus Games were in 2014 and created by and still run by Prince Harry (4 Stars).
Sports Shorts: Years ago when the Performance Enhancing Drugs scandal broke, I said don’t be surprised if Alex Rodriguez was involved. Well it took nine years for my hunch to be confirmed, but yesterday ESPN confirmed Alex is the rat. Bad Alex, but I believe the biggest baseball cheater in 104 years since the 1919 Chicago Black Sox scandal is Sammy Sosa! Who not only took performance enhancing drugs but some of his home runs were hit with bats that broke and discovered were corked making the ball go further. Bad Sam. … Scoopage, at the next NFL owners meeting, the NFL and Players Association will demand within 2 years all stadiums must have real grass to reduce player injury.
Odds and Ends: Ozzy Osbourne almost died following a quad bike accident in 2003. Ozzy had a bad fall 4 years ago and has had a dozen surgeries. And now Ozzy has a new health concern, when I know more. I’ll let you know. … Ariana Grande has finally admitted she has had hundreds if not thousands of Botox punctures over the past 5 years starting when she was 24. Ego, party of one. Ridiculous!
