Saddest story of the month. Christina Applegate has gained 40 pounds since learning she has Multiple Sclerosis. She is forced to use a cane, but will finish shooting her series, Dead to Me, because she doesn’t want her cast, staff, network or sponsors to lose money. Very sad.
Early Movie Review: Weird: The Al Yankovick Story. This is a biography, comedy with music starring Daniel Radcliffe as Al, Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna and Rainn Wilson, best know for The Office, plays KMET Los Angeles radio’s Dr. Demento who found, encouraged and developed Al into the star he’s became. I’ve known Demento for 40 years, one of the nicest guys in the world. Julianne Nicholson plays Al’s mom. Love this film. I’ve told the story, that I MC’d Al’s first personal appearance at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium, when he opened for Missing Persons and Al was booed off the stage, Al came backstage in tears. All kinds of strange stories about Al. When Al’s was contacted and told his parents had just died of carbon monoxide poisoning in their home, Al decided to do the concert that night in Wisconsin because he said his parents would have wanted him to. This movie is streaming tomorrow, check Roku (4 Stars).

And despite some civil cases being settled there are more to come. … Hilarious story has Bono talking about getting blind drunk with Barrack Obama at the White House and waking up in Abraham Lincoln’s bed. It was funny enough for me. … Rumor that James Corden plans to retire in the next year after returning to the UK.
Sports Shorts: Regarding the World Series story that Philadelphia restaurants refused to serve the Houston Astro players while Houston was playing in Philadelphia. I love sports and I have traveled with professional teams. Players are not happy when they lose but fans are ridiculous. Destroying property, attacking fans of the other team and now refusing to serve visiting players at restaurants. Ridiculous!
