Early Movie Review: Opening in most cities this weekend, She Said. About two New York Times reporters played by Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan, start looking into women being sexually abused, assaulted and even raped in Hollywood. As they dig, Harvey Weinstein’s name keeps coming up. They are relentless and their work lead to the #MeToo movement and Weinsleeze arrest and conviction (3 ½ Stars).
So yesterday British authorities charged Kevin Spacey with seven more sexual offenses, all brought by one man. The man claims these assaults happened between 2001 and 2004. Question, after the first sexual abuse wouldn’t you stop seeing that person and report it to police? Why would you continue to see that person for three more years, continue to be assaulted, not call police and then report it 18 years later. That doesn’t make sense to me.
TV News: Casey Anthony’s three part interview on Peacock November 29th is beyond disgusting. In my opinion she murdered her 2 year old daughter Caylee. During the interview Casey actually blames her dad for the murder! She goes into detail how her dad told her don’t report Caylee’s missing to the police! Casey also says her dad told her exactly how to act during those 30 days before calling police. In those 30 days she frequented strip clubs, pole danced and partied 24/7! It’s obvious Casey is lying about everything.
Odds and Ends: I don’t believe Jay Leno’s people saying he’ll be back in a couple weeks, believe me, it will be more like a couple of months or more. His burns are horrific. … Dave Chappelle gave last week’s Saturday Night Live their biggest ratings this season but not without controversy. There is still blow back what some people call his antisemitism monologue. … Stephan Spielberg continues to preach all these streamers are killing the film business. Spielberg says theaters could be gone in 20 years. Come on, people will always want to go out to the movies on a Saturday date night. … Andy Dick is going to jail for 90 days for groping an Uber driver. Jerk, party of one!
