Report for Thursday, May 25th

So sad, the passing of 83 year old Tina Turner. 200 million records sold, 12 Grammys, the Queen of Rock and Roll! I never met or saw Tina in concert, but I’d see Ike Turner at the Viper Room and he was a mean, drunk pile, drug addict who was verbally, physically, and sexually abusive to Tina for 16 years. Almost killed her several times! She was a great artist and human being, Ike was one of the worse humans who ever lived!

Update on one of the strangest stories over the last month. On April 11th, Jamie Fox was rushed to a hospital with an unknown life threatening medical problem. Some said it was a serious stroke. Jamie’s daughter said nothing was wrong. While no information was released from the hospital for a month, then on May 12th Jamie’s daughter said her dad had been released from the hospital weeks earlier and is playing a lot of pickle ball. On May 15th, she said Jamie had signed to star in a game show shooting soon. But now, the only thing we know for sure is Jamie was flown from Los Angeles to an exclusive Chicago rehab this week where he is under going serious therapy and Mike Tyson is with him 24/7.

Movie News: Kevin Costner, the most difficult actor to work with and has destroyed Yellowstone, is currently working on two movies that are very much connected. The first is called, Horizon: An American Saga. The second movie is, Horizon: An American Saga Part 2. Kevin Costner will star and direct both which are being called chronicles of the pre and post Civil War American west. A lot of stars, Thomas Hayden Church, Giovanni Ribisi, Sam Worthington, Will Patton, Danny Huston and many others. Suppose to be great.

A rumor set straight. Sting says back in April 1979 while having lunch at a railroad station in London, he noticed a beat-up, half torn Poster advertising a local play called Roxanne about a prostitute. Sting says while eating his lunch he wrote the song, Roxanne, and that’s how that song came about. And now you know the rest of the story.
