Movie Talk: Just signed, George Clooney and Julia Roberts will star in the comedy, Ticket to Paradise. They play a former married couple who have been divorced for over 15 years but get back together, fly to Bali to keep their 21 year old daughter from making the same marriage mistake. Directed by Ol Parker who directed Mama Mia. Here’s a couple nuggets about George and Julia you may not know. Did you know George loves animals but his all time favorite pet was his pig Max who he had for 18 years? Gift from Kelly Preston. His first year in Hollywood he rode a bike to all his auditions and is a Dallas Mavericks season ticket holder. As for Julia, did you know her best friend in Denzel Washington? They talk almost daily. Her prize possession isn’t any awards, it’s an autograph picture of Katharine Hepburn.
Everybody is streaming and these are the Top 5 shows currently streaming. #5 Schitt’s Creek, #4 Gray’s Anatomy, #3 Fate: The Winx Saga, #2 Bridgerton and #1 Criminal Minds. So, if you haven’t seen some of these, you might want to check them out.
The Book, Ticking Clock, is going to be a documentary but not on CBS! Written by Liberal CBS news producer, Ira Rosen. Mr. Rosen calls Mike Wallace an abusive jerk, Barbara Walters is a backstabbing, lying, cheapskate, Diane Sawyer made up quotes, and Katie Couric dumb as a rock. Controversial but compelling.
Odds and Ends: Want to be bored on September 19th? Write it down, that’s when CBS will bore us with the Emmys. No host or even location yet. … The only thing that will be interesting, if Hulu, Netflix, Apple+, Disney+, Prime and the other streamers completely wipe out ABC, NBC, CBS and FOX. Prediction, of the 30 top awards, the four major networks combined won’t win ten. I’ll make a note of this and we’ll check it out.
