Special Movie Review: Disney’s Dumbo! Danny DeVito is the owner of a failing circus and hires a former circus dad and his kids to care for the animals, including a baby elephant with humongous ears. But a sneeze gets Dumbo’s ears a flopping to the point he can fly! But not all the news is good, bad guy Michael Keaton has bigger plans for big ears and it’s not good. Tim Burton’s direction, animation, effects and acting are all great! With that said, I don’t agree with some reviewers who call it a disconnected mess. Hey, it’s Dumbo not Love Story! They also complained it had a weak plot, hey, it’s Dumbo not Gone with the Wind! Head’s up it is a kid film. It’s been 78 years since the original which was a first generation animated cartoon. This Dumbo is better (Rated G) – (88 Minutes) – (3 ½ Stars).
