While I usually do movie reviews on Friday, I can’t wait for Thor: Love and Thunder, the best of the franchise and one of the best from Marvel. It is exciting, a lot of action, really great special effects, romance and a ton of laughs, it is hilarious. Our original Thor, Chris Hemsworth, has retired but when Gorr the God Butcher played by Christian Bale arrives on the scene to take over the world, our Thor returns, he’s back! Also back is Thor’s old girlfriend, played brilliantly by Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, Mighty Thor, and she has his hammer and to be honest, she steals his heart and the entire movie. And Russel Crowe is also strong. Good versus evil and 2 hours of great, entertaining film making! This will do huge box office since Rated PG-13, and it gets 4 Stars.
Tomorrow a tease about another four star movie coming out next month, Bullet Train.
One more bit of Movie news, I told you ticket sales to Graceland have exploded since the Elvis the movie came out and now word Elvis’s old records are selling like hotcakes.
Love Nuggets: Simon Cowell and fiancé Lauren Silverman will get married September 17th in London. Although Simon has delayed it before, F.Y.I. they have an 8 year old son Eric. … Great news, Ozzy Osbourne’s health is much batter as he and Sharon celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Sharon calls Ozzy the most wonderful man in the world.
TV Head’s Up: Two shows debuting tomorrow and worthy of your time. First, on Netflix the documentary, Keep Sweet: Pray and Obey. The true story of the self-proclaimed profit, Warren Jeffs and his trial involving power, sex and a lot of money! When arrested, Jeffs was married to 78 women, 24 under the age of 16. A real scumbag! … And Blackbird on Apple, a great crime, thriller series that stars Taron Egerton who played Eddie in Eddie the Eagle, Elton John in Rocketman and the Kingsman franchise, all great! And sadly Ray Liotta in his final performance before passing 2 months ago.
