Report for Thursday, Jan 30th

Head’s up, I’ve seen a couple Super Bowl commercials and one that I really loved stars two of my favorite people, Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan. If you saw the great 1989 movie, When Harry Met Sally…, there’s a great scene of Billy and Meg eating at the Katz Deli in New York, one of my favorite places by the way. When Meg takes a bite out her sandwich which is so good, she appears to have an orgasm! The woman sitting at the next table says, “I’ll have what she’s having.” In the new Super Bowl spot, Billy and Meg are sitting at the same table in Katz delicatessen and Meg takes a bite out of her sandwich, but no reaction. Then she puts some Hellmann’s Mayonnaise on the sandwich it, takes a bite, makes a face and appears to be having an orgasm. The woman sitting at the next table says, “I’ll have what she’s having.” Billy rolls his eyes and says, “Here we go again.” It is hilarious if you saw the movie!

Regarding Super Bowl commercials, they cost $8 million for a 30 second spot. The commercials in Super Bowl 1 cost $2,500 for a 30 second spot, big difference! There will also be more Super Bowl commercials than ever in this year Super Bowl. You will see a lot of AI, high tech, beverages, salty snacks, financial and airline spots.

TV News: Speaking of the old is new again, 40 years ago NBC had a #1 hit with Little House on the Prairie. Well it’s back, a re-boot coming to Netflix! It’s a new version, same theme, set in the same time, coming 2026. … And a rare TV Movie review….While I love Reece Witherspoon and Will Ferrell, they are horrible in the hideous Amazon Prime movie, You’re Cordially Invited. When two wedding parties are mistakenly booked at the same venue, at the same time, you’d think there would be a chance of humor. Nope. I can’t express how bad this thing is! Don’t believe me, fine, you’ve been warned. Amazon Prime, Friday (0 Stars).

Quote of the Day: Few women admit their age, few men act it.” How true.
