Report for Thursday, Jan 20th

First things first, there is a drastic need for blood and the Red Cross is even offering a chance to win Super Bowl tickets when you give blood. If you haven’t given blood, please consider it. I have a rare B positive blood and will be giving blood this week.

Speaking of Super Bowl, there is a team of over 100 people working in Los Angeles to make sure the February 13th game goes smoothly. Worried about the Covid Surge in L.A. which has more cases than any place in the country. The FBI is involved because of a possible terrorist threat, crowd control, traffic, crime, and watching 65,000 people.

Must see TV starting with a four part series on Showtime starting January 30th called, We Need To Talk About Cosby. New Disturbing, disgusting, shocking, information about Bill Cosby. Some of his closest friends coming forward, admitting that looking back, they should have seen the signs he was a rapist.

On January 24th is a new HBO series, The Gilded Age, set in 1882 New York City around a rich high society family with a young black sheep girl played by Cynthia Nixon, who tries everything to embarrass them and bring them down. Sort of a American Downton Abbey with attitude.

And on February 4th the fabulous, Inventing Anna. About a German heiress who uses social media to steal millions from the rich New York snooty cream of the crop. And F.Y.I. it stars Julia Garner from Ozark.

Odds and Ends: Keanu Reeves is one of the really good guys in Hollywood and having made over $300 million says he’s never worked a day in his life and wants to give back. Keanu has given away millions of dollars from kids scholarships to retirement homes, lots of rolexes to staff and crew, Make A Wish and other charities. And there’s a good story about a good celebrity. … Here’s a deal, one of the best streets in San Francisco is Day Street and right in the middle of the block is a 120 year old, 1900 square feet house, boarded up, floors collapsing, just sold for $1,989,000.
