Quick Love Nugget: You’ve probably heard, $110 million net worth Paris Hilton is now engaged to $310 million net worth Carter Reum. They were introduced by Gwyneth Paltrow and been dating almost two years. Both huge dog lovers. Carter and his brother own Veev Spirits, which produces liquor using Acai fruit, he’s a huge investor.
Movie News: The Writers Guild have announced their picks of the best written scripts. Best adopted screenplay nominations are, News of the World, One Night In Miami, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Borat 2 and The White Tiger. However, the biggest Writers Award is for original screen play and those nominations were, Palm Springs, Sound of Metal, Judas And The Black Messiah, Trial of the Chicago 7, and Promising Young Woman. And today, my review of Hulu’s Palm Springs, starring Adam Sandberg. The first 20 minutes are hard to get through, but this is one of the most creative movies ever. I ended up loving it. And because of that I think it has a good chance of winning Best Screenplay (3 Stars). … One more P.S. quickie there’s a great song, Ulu Palakua by the great Iwalani in this movie.
Two T.V. Reviews: First, The documentary Allen v. Farrow. A four part series on HBO that accuses Woody Allen of sexually molesting his 7 year old adopted daughter, Dylan. They zero in on August 4th, 1992 when Mia Farrow says she saw what she saw. I was surprised that the Hollywood Reporter gives Woody a pass calling it a he said she said. All the interviews including Dylan who’s now an adult was enough for me. Guilty! … The second review is Behind Her Eyes, 6 episodes on Netflix, dreams of love to nightmares! Disturbing sci-fi that becomes just stupid and bad acting to boot. Available now (1 Star).
Odds and Ends: True, must see T.V. today. Back on July 30th, 2020 America shot a missile to Mars, today at 3:50 Eastern Time it is scheduled to land and will be televised. I’ll be watching, science in action and F.Y.I. there’s a helicopter on board.
