This week’s Pop Quiz theme, things you probably didn’t know about your favorite starts. Today, name the star who was the editor of the Newton High School newspaper and won awards for the best High School paper in the State. Is it Tommy Chong, Tom Hanks, Steve Carell or Steve Martin?
Scoopage: Is It True, Bob Costas wants out of his NBC Sports contract, because he wants to run for public office. That’s what I’m hearing. Another Is It True, Neil Young and Daryl Hannah are married? Yes, it is true.
Several friends of Ben Affleck have gone out of their way to distance themselves from Ben and are closer to soon to be ex-Jennifer Garner, including Matt Damon, former fiancé Jennifer Lopez, Joaquín Phoenix and Ron Howard.
Early Movie: Opening today, Operation Finale. I think a lot of movie critics are ego maniacs who consider themselves, know-it-alls, who believe their job is picking films apart, rather than just watching like the rest of us. With that said, I loved Operation Finale, while the majority of reviewers hated it. True story, real history, good guys win, honesty, justice, solid acting, action and great script. How do you hate a movie like that? The story of Israeli agents tracking down Adolf Hitler’s hatchet man, Adolf Eichmann who killed at least 600,000 Jews. They arrest him and bring him back to face his hanging. Ben Kingsley and director Chris Weitz both deserve Oscar nominations. For me. (PG-13) – (122 Minutes) – (4 Stars).
Movie News: The main cast is now signed for the former Fox News president, Roger Ailes biopic who was a total scum bag who sexually harassed almost every good-looking woman who worked there. John Lithgow will play Ailes, the female reporters played by Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman.
Answer – The HS paper was the Lion’s Roar, and the editor was Steve Carell.
