Our prayers and thoughts are with everybody in Hawaii, as Hurricane Lane is bearing down, at this writing a Category 5. I experienced the worst hurricane in Hawaii history. I was living in Kailua September 20, 1992 when Hurricane Iniki, a Category 4, slammed into Maui, Molokai, Oahu and Kauai, killing 6 and doing hundreds of millions of dollars in damage. Lane expected to hit landfall tomorrow.

Blige, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Janet Jackson and Tony Braxton were all friends of Aretha and were suggested but producers said Madonna would get bigger ratings. Shameful!
