I got some big news about some big directors today! Starting off with Martin Scorsese, whose next two big budget movies are The Life of Jesus, followed by a biopic called, Frank, which will tell the inside story of Frank Sinatra. Frank will be played by Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence will play as his wife back then, Ava Gardner. Sinatra sidebar. Frank was very close to his Mother Dolly Sinatra, who lived at his various homes in Los Angeles, New York and Palm Springs. While in Palm Springs, when Dolly was 80, she wanted to fly to L.A. for a Tommy Burger, an L.A. burger chain. Afterwards, pick up a couple of her old friends and fly to Las Vegas. Frank said fine, called his pilot and told her to take his Learjet from Palm Springs to L.A. then to Vegas. But just 10 minutes after lifting off from the jet hit the 10,153 foot San Gorgonio mountain, killing all on board. Dolly is buried next to Frank in Palm Springs. Okay, back to the directors.
Next, Ridley Scott promise his Gladiator 2 will be better than the first one. The first Gladiator starred Russell Crowe and Joaquin Phoenix back in 2000, neither will be in the new film, however Denzel Washington has a huge part. Release is Thanksgiving.
Steven Spielberg has produced the film, Twister, about the biggest tornado in history, that has a surprise you wont see coming. And he will next direct an untitled UFO Sci-Fi.
And finally 93 year old Director Clint Eastwood has just rapped, Juror No. 2. About a man on trial for murder, but juror #2 knows something nobody else knows. Stars Nicholas Hoult, J.K. Simmons and Kiefer Sutherland. Release date this Christmas. Sadly this is Clint’s last movie.
Movie reviews and a shocker tomorrow.
