Report for Thursday, Apr 13th

We start with an early Movie Review. Despite a lot of high expectation, for me, Renfield was a disappointment. Not a bad movie but not the great movie I was expecting. The first act is fabulous, Nick Cage as Dracula is fabulous as is Nicholas Hoult who plays Renfield, Dracula’s servant slave. They also use some creative digital technology from the 1931 Dracula which is great! The comedy is entertaining, but it is way overkill. The plot just disappears with goofy stuff like Renfield eating insects to have super powers and despite great effects, it’s too gory and too goofy. Great acting, bad writing (Rated R) – (90 Minutes) – (2.5 Stars).

Odds and Ends: I don’t get it. Why are people upset that Starbucks did a fun promotion that listed all Taylor Swift’s ex-boyfriends on their menu with each name a different coffee order. I mean, Taylor writes songs about her ex-boyfriends I thought it a cute promotion, but some people were offended and demand they take it down. Come on, let’s lighten up. … Today Harvey Weinsleeze moves from the Maximum security Wende Prison to medium security Mohawk prison. He will have three cellmates, can play sports, take craft classes and see movies. But due to his sex convictions, doubt there will be any congeal visits. Duh!

N.Y. Post Headline: On yesterday’s front page above the pictures of these new huge robots placed in Subway stations, hoping to video criminal activity, headline screamed, “Big Botter Is Watching.”
