TV News: I was shocked, Kim Kardashian was great hosting Saturday Night Live. Although she played a dimwit airhead, which comes pretty naturally, she took shots at her sisters, her mom, her dad, Kanye and even O.J. Simpson. She was actually funny, amazing!
Have you watched Squid Game on Netflix? There are nine episodes and it is the #1 show! The most bizarre, brutal, bloody, bad ass show I have ever seen. A South Korean show that has subtitles and dubbed in English is the talk of the industry. Every streaming service turned it down, Netflix picked it up after passing 5 times! I give it 3 Stars.
Shocking TV Ratings: Fox’s Greg Gutfeld is killing Jimmy Fallon and my KROQ alumni buddy Jimmy Kimmel by over 600,000 viewers. It isn’t even close, a slaughter. … And I’m shocked the return of CSI: Vegas was clobbered by Chicago P.D. However it gives me an opportunity to tell one of my favorite stories. Anthony Zuiker was a 30 year old valet at the Mandalay Hotel in Vegas and his roommate a CSI: Vegas investigator. Anthony thought his roommate’s stories would make a great TV Show and he wrote 50 scripts and every week drove to Hollywood and pitched the show. After 2 years, CBS finally picked it up and Zuiker went from making $8 an hour to now worth $200 million. … Ted Lasso’s second season has slipped, however there is already a third season planned. To me, the show has jumped the shark and just isn’t as good, but that’s just me.
Odds and Ends: It is official, there will be a huge, huge shortage this Christmas of toys made by Lego, Hasbro, Mattel, Jakks and Pop Mart. Has to do with the 250,000 unloaded containers I told you about 10 days ago that is now 1 million containers. And it gets worse, besides the toys, shelves will be empty of everything from food, TV’s, furniture, cars, drugs, computers, toilet paper and just about everything else! While reporting this catastrophe on CBS Sunday Morning Show, which I love, the reporter, some clown named David Pogue kept smiling, almost laughing. Laughing! What’s funny?
