Report for Monday, May 9th

Love Nugget: The Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial resumes today. Personal comment, Amber’s testimony last week was Razzie worthy! Worst acting of the year. One William Morris agent told me he thinks her career is over. … Trouble in paradise, Lauren Silverman is calling fiancé Simon Cowell, Groomzilla! Simon is making plans for their wedding next month without Lauren’s approval.

Sports Shorts: Two biggest sporting events last weekend, first annual Miami Grand Prix, which drew a lot of stars. The Williams sisters, Ryan Reynolds, LeBron James, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez,  Floyd Mayweather, Adam Corolla, and Michelle Rodriguez just to name a few. I covered the first American Grand Prix, it was the Long Beach Grand Prix loudest, most boring event I ever covered! … And the shocker, 80-1 shot Rich Strike won the 148th Kentucky Derby. … Oh yeah, scoop, The Dodgers will play a series against the Yankees in Paris in 2025.

Odds and Ends: Funniest nugget of the weekend. With Kanye West spreading the rumor that Pete Davidson has Aids, Pete went on stage saying Kanye has polio. Now that’s funny. … This is more disgusting, Oprah traded her $60 million  Gulfstream jet for a $70 million G-700. But an employee at Gulfstream told me apparently Oprah allowed her 3 golden retrievers and 2 cocker spaniels free reign of the plane, and they had pooped so much, the entire carpets and inside interior had to be replaced to remove the stench. P.U! … Queen Elizabeth will not allow Harry, Meghan or Prince Andrew with her during her formal Jubilee celebration, she refuses to be seen with them at all publicly. Again, P.U! … Sad to hear the passing of Mickey Gilley. I use to go to his club Gillys when in Houston. … Shocking stat, James Earl Jones was only paid $7,000 for his first voicing of Darth Vader!

Show Business Business: Warner Media is promising huge changes starting off when they announced TNT and TBS will no longer have scripted shows. Warner media owns, HBO, HBO Max, TBS, TNT, CNN, Headline News, TCM, Boom, Cartoon Network and Cinemax. Expect other big cost saving changes.
