Report for Monday, May 1st

The best thing that happened over the weekend, 86 year old Jack Nicholson sitting in his regular L.A. Laker seat for the first time in 18 months! Jack had been in seclusion. Personal Comment, Jack is my all time favorite actor. And a confession, I learned a lot about Jack’s personal and professional life during the shooting of one of my top five movies, One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. I had an inside access while the movie was being shot. … Second best thing over the weekend, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Snoop Dogg, Stephen Stills, Dave Matthews, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, Tom Jones, Dwight Yoakam and may others were at Willie Nelson’s 90th birthday party.

And a Family Feud. Serena and sister Venus Williams have not always gotten along, however nothing like this. Venus claims Serena stole some of her belongings the last time she was at Venus’s home. Wow. … More Family Feud, David Arquette says when Friends was number one, his wife and the star, Courteney Cox, talked down to him and constantly rubbed her popularity in his face and putting a huge strain on their marriage, but he put up with it because of his love for her. She’s a jerk.

From a family Feud to a family affair. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones’s son 22 year old Dylan is following his parents footsteps and planning an acting career. Dylan’s done a few TV things but his dad is about to help plan Dylan’s acting career future.

Most shocking news, Friday my good friend for 40 years and former KROQ co-worker, Rodney Bingenheimer, was sued for sexual assault by Kari Krome, the songwriter and co-founder of the 1970 all girl’s band, The Runaway’s. Kari says the assault started when she was just 13 and went on for years. Rodney specialized in helping girl bands, really helped the Go-Go’s but these charges are shocking and hard to believe. Reminds me, The Go-Go’s Belinda Carlisle who use to hang out at the KROQ backdoor begging us to play the cassette of We Got The Beat, now she has the number one hit in England.
