Report for Monday, June 1st

Like everybody else, I saw the horrific murder of George Floyd on TV and I also watched the horrible riots over the weekend, but in the Department Store of Human Affairs, I deal with toy department and will leave my outrage aside and hopefully put a smile on you face.

But I do have a couple News Nuggets: First, how about that space launch, a welcome proud moment to be an American. Watched the lift-off and it was really spectacular. … And Mark Cuban has launched an exploratory committee about a run for President, stay tuned.

Love Nuggets: When Miranda Kerr and Orlando Bloom divorced they had a son and they have remained close. To prove it, Miranda has gifted  Orlando and Katy Perry’s soon to be born child a scholarship. Miranda even calls Katy her little sister.

Odds and Ends: Clint Eastwood turned 90 yesterday and while he wont comment on it, Clint has nothing scheduled, producing, directing or acting. Clint Eastwood is retired. … It was not a good weekend for Kylie Jenner, she was busy meeting with her accountants and tax attorneys and afterword the IRS has opened an investigation of fraud. … An even worse weekend for Harvey Weinstein who was notified Friday he’s being charged with more rape and sexual assault charges. Three more women have come forward. … Sad that L.A.’s premier Amphitheater the Greek Theater has canceled the summer season. My favorite venue where I saw my favorite concert, when I introduced Queen.  … But some good news, looks like most theater chains will open on 4th of July weekend. … Gaga GooGoo, her latest album, Chromatica is fabulous, best thing she’s ever done. However, Madonna is contemplating suing Gaga for plagiarism, saying Gaga’s song Babylon was stolen from her song, Vogue. … On June 11, Disney+ will be released in Japan they expect 30 million instant subscribers. … Just F.Y.I., John Goodman is Hollywood’s best bowler. … Finally, really sad to announce that Matthew Perry made another visit to the hospital emergency room, don’t know what the problem is, but it’s the second time in a week.

Have a great day!
