Report for Monday, June 12th

Love Nugget: When casting Thelma And Louise, Geena Davis, one of the female leads demanded heavy say in picking the male lead. The studio wanted an up and coming actor Grant Snow, who never did much other than the Melrose Place, she said no. Studio’s second choice was Mark Ruffalo, she said no! Producers wanted George Clooney, she she said no! Geena insisted on the young unknown Brad Pitt, who she wanted to have a relationship with. Brad got the gig, she got the short lived relationship and to this day Geena says Brad owes her his entire career. … They can’t stand each other and they can’t stand being apart from each other, so Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox just hook-up every time they are in the same city. Which is often!

Movie News: Johnny Depp’s movie, Jeanne du Barry, set in 1740 about Louie the 15th and his concubine is beyond bad, a box office bomb. And maybe that’s why Disney has canceled Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Believe me, we’ve seen the last Pirates movie. … Meanwhile, Indiana Jones and  the Dial of Destiny opens in two weeks and this is a movie you will either love or hate. Buy what their selling or it’s just, been there done that, see ya.  However, should be pointed out pre ticket sales are fairly strong.

Odds and Ends: Prediction, The Writers, SAG, AFTRA and one other union will come to terms on June 30th give or take, so says a little bird I know that should know. … I love Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, so does NBC, that’s why they have stood by his horrible, hideous, no ratings show, Young Rock for two years, but have finally pulled the plug. … Rod Stewart says he’s selling his $70 million Los Angeles mansion because he’s had enough of America’s crime, politics and taxes, Stewart called the USA totally toxic. Okay Rod, don’t let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya, bye bye, so long, farewell.
