Today, I remember interviewing a retired Joe Montana in New Orleans before Super Bowl 31 Green Bay beat the Pats, 35-21, and I’ll never forget him saying, “Somethings have changed, when I played before we ran out on the field we’d all spray PAM on ourselves making it harder to tackle.” Say what?
33 years ago this morning the Challenger blew-up and killed all the astronauts, including hawaiian Ellison Onizuka, who I interviewed for Hawaii television just 2 weeks before the disaster. Now playing in limited release is a docudrama movie, Challenger Disaster starring Dean Cain, which proves NASA knew there was a problem with the o-rings, that was the cause of the explosion, and could have been avoided. A must see.
Here’s my word to the wise of the day. I’m stuck between I need to save money, and I only live once.
