Report for Monday, Feb 3rd

Just a hodgepodge of stuff today. First off, I haven’t been to a Grammys in 13 years. It was 13 years ago I had lunch at the Beverly Hilton Hotel where the Grammys were taking place the next day. Did a few interviews, then heard and saw emergency personal running through the hotel. There was a rumor that somebody on the fourth floor had died. Within an hour, we knew, the guest in Suite 434 had died, found drowned in the bathtub. That person was Whitney Houston. Whitney had been doing cocaine while taking a bubble bath, OD’d, submerged into the tub dead. Never went to another Grammy’s.

There will be a lot of money donated to the Southern California Fires through the Grammys. Last week there was a couple Fire Aid concerts in L.A. and some big names showed up and performed, including, Jelly Roll, Billie Eilish, Green Day, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, Katy Perry and the Red Hot Chili Peppers just to name a few. $30 million was reportedly donated or at least pledged. Which would pay for two of the mansions that burned. For the record, 16,264 structures were destroyed in the Southern California fires. Translation, rebuilding is going to cost billions and take decades.

Since we last spoke, following that ridiculous crying rant of Selena Gomez, story is Selena was asked about her thoughts on Laken Riley. Laken of course, was the college student out for a jog who was raped and brutally murdered by an illegal migrant . Selena reportedly didn’t even know who Laken was. I’m not surprised, as a group, celebrities are the most clueless people on the planet. Momma mia.

Also since we last spoke, that truly stupid, ridiculous Groundhog’s Day crap took place. Who cares, and I remember hearing years ago, those clowns in tuxedoes dropped the oversized rodent when they pulled it out of his holding cage and it had to be euthanized. And for the record, the rodents prediction of the weather over the past 25 years has been 72% wrong!
