Movie Reviews: One is good and one is bad! Let’s get the bad news out of the way. Medieval, is set in the Roman Empire period and stars Ben Foster. Death of an Emperor, a damsel in distress, but not as much distress as you’ll be in if you watch this stinker. (Rated R) – (100 Minutes) – (1 Star). Comment, Ben Foster is so good in, The Survivor, on HBO MAX and he’s so bad in this.
Now the good news. Barbarian, is one of the best horror, thriller films of the year. Georgina Campbell has rented a tiny house for one night before a job interview, however the house is already rented by Bill Skarsgard. But he seems harmless and invites her to spend the night, bad idea. You won’t believe what happens that night, it is shocking. Great movie (Rated R) – (99 Minutes) – (3 Stars). And again, there are a lot of other great movies playing that have been held over.
A Very Rare Music Video Review: I am not a big country fan but there is a fabulous, 4 star country music video from Hardy + Lainey Wilson called, Wait In The Truck. It’s the 4 minute story of an abused woman and a do gooder who rescues her, and how he set’s out to make things right.
Odds and Ends: Californians are being warned there could be serious blackouts all over the state this weekend. There’s also 22 fires burning out of control and taxes just went up.
Sports Shorts: College and NFL football in full force but New York Yankee’s, Aaron Judge is on the verge of being the greatest home run hitter in history. A unique guy 6’7”, and so introverted, seldom talks about anything to anybody, yet his teammates say he’s a great teammate. Aaron Judge is about to be the biggest sports story of the year.
